AC Tips: AC will run day and night without electricity bill, you will get rid of huge bills

AC Tips: Due to the continuous increase in electricity rates, many people are now deciding to install solar systems in their homes. Is it possible to run an air conditioner (AC) with solar panels? The answer is yes. However, it is very important to know how many solar panels will be required for this and how much it will cost. Let's know.

AC Tips: Seeing the continuous increase in electricity rates and the savings in the bills in the long run, people are now installing solar systems in their homes.

Especially if you want to run an air conditioner (AC) with solar, then for this you will need the right size solar panel system, battery (if off-grid), inverter and other supporting equipment.

The havoc of summer is still continuing. In many parts of India, the temperature is more than 45 degrees. People use air conditioners throughout the day, but due to this the cost of electricity also increases.

If you are also troubled by the rising electricity bills, then solar panels can be a good and long-lasting option. Through this, you can fulfill the electricity needs of your house yourself and avoid heavy bills.

Now the question is, can the entire electricity load of the house, especially appliances like AC, be run easily after installing solar panels? Let's understand this completely.

How much electricity is required to run an AC?

ACs with a capacity of 1.5 tons are found in most homes. Currently, inverter ACs are available in the market, which consume less power than conventional models and can be run on solar panels. It is estimated that a 1.5 ton inverter AC consumes about 1.4 kilowatts (kW) of electricity per hour.

It will consume about 35 units (kWh) of electricity by running continuously for 24 hours. In such a situation, the capacity of the solar panel should produce at least 35 units of electricity per day.

How many solar panels will work?

A 1 kilowatt solar panel can generate about five units of electricity every day if there is enough sunlight in your area. In such a situation, you will have to install a solar setup of about 7 kilowatt capacity if you want to meet the requirement of 35 units of electricity every day.

For this, 7 to 8 panels of 1 kilowatt will be required, which can be installed on the roof. In bright sunlight, this system can generate up to forty units of electricity daily, which can easily run the rest of the electronics of the house, such as air conditioners. The cost of installing the entire solar system can be around seven to eight lakh rupees.

How will the AC work at night?

Now many people might be wondering how the AC will work when the sun sets and there is no sunlight? Hybrid solar systems are an effective solution to this.

This system sends excess solar energy to the electricity grid during the day, and takes energy from the same grid at night to power your home. Thus, the solar energy produced during the day can be used at night, which reduces the cost of electricity to a great extent.
