Air India Plane Crash: An Air India plane has crashed in Ahmedabad. It is being said that this accident happened during take-off. The plane crashed near Meghani area of Ahmedabad, where black smoke was seen rising in the sky. There were more than 242 people on board this plane. Rescue and relief operations are going on rapidly.

The state police control room has informed that an Air India plane has crashed in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. There were 242 passengers on board this plane.
How did the accident happen?
Air India's Dreamliner plane was going from Ahmedabad to London. During take off, this plane collided with the airport wall and caught fire. After the accident, Home Minister Shah spoke to Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and inquired about the incident.

Air India has said that flight AI171 flying from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick crashed today, June 12, 2025.
DGCA statement
DGCA said that Air India's B787 Dreamliner aircraft AI171, which was flying from Ahmedabad to London (Gatwick), crashed in a residential area named Meghani Nagar.
The flight started at 1:38 pm. The accident happened just 5 minutes after takeoff. The pilot in command was Sumit Sabharwal and the co-pilot was Clive Kunder. There were a total of 232 passengers on board the plane, including 230 adults and 2 children.
There were also 10 crew members. In total there were 242 people on board the plane. The airport emergency team was immediately activated. Smoke was visible even from a distance. DAW, ADAW and FOI were already present in Ahmedabad.
