Bihar News: 875 KM National Highway will be built in Bihar, new four lanes will also be developed

Bihar Road development: This is a historic gift for Bihar in the field of road infrastructure. The approval of ₹33,464 crore by the Central Government shows that now the network of national highways in Bihar will expand even faster, which will give a new dimension to the socio-economic development of the state. He said that under the approved annual program, a four-lane national highway of 380 km length will be built.

 

Bihar News: Bihar has received the gift of a big road infrastructure project. The central government has approved an amount of Rs 33464 crore for the 875 km national highway in the state. 

This is the first time the state has received such a huge amount in a financial year. Road Construction Minister Nitin Naveen said that the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has approved a plan of Rs 33,464 crore to develop 875 km NH of Bihar. He said that under the approved annual program, a four-lane national highway of 380 km length will be built.

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has approved a plan of Rs 33,464 crore to develop 875 km NH of Bihar. Road Construction Minister Nitin Naveen gave this information on Friday. 

He said that Bihar has received such a huge amount for the first time in a financial year. Along with this, approval has also been received for the work year 2025–26. 

There is an annual plan to build two big bridges on the Gandak River and a big bridge on the Kamla River. The Road Construction Minister said that the approved projects include a big bridge on the Kamla River, two big bridges at Bagaha and Patjirwa on the Gandak River. The construction of these bridges will have a wide impact and will facilitate the movement of common citizens.

380 km long four-lane roads will be constructed.

The Road Construction Minister said that under the approved annual action plan, 380 km long National Highway will be built in four lanes. 

This includes many important roads, including Arwal-Jehanabad-Bihar Sharif (National Highway No. 33), Bettiah to Bagaha (National Highway No. 727), Mashrakh-Chakia-Shivhar-Sitamarhi-Bhitthamod (National Highway No. 227A and 227), and Ram Janaki Marg. 

Apart from this, two-lane widening work will be done in Sitamarhi-Chirant (National Highway No. 122A), Samastipur-Darbhanga (National Highway No. 322), Hariharganj Aurangabad Naubatpur Pathansh (National Highway No. 139) and Barbigha Jamui-Banka Dhaka Mod (National Highway No. 333A). 18 ROBs will also be built in this approved action plan.

The road construction minister said that on May 7, he met Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari and discussed Bihar's action plan, which has been approved. Mr Gadkari has expressed his gratitude.
