UP's electricity consumers again got bad news, electricity bill will increase from this day

Electricity consumers of Uttar Pradesh will now have to spend more money to run coolers and fans at home. Electricity bills are being increased by Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation.

 

Up electricity consumer: There is a bad news for the electricity consumers of Uttar Pradesh. Now you will have to spend more money on the electricity bill coming from August. Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) has announced an increase of 0.24% in the rates of electricity bill. The reason for this increase is fuel surcharge.

Why is the electricity bill increasing?

Fuel cost increased: This increase is being done due to the rising prices of fuels like coal and gas. Companies charge this extra fee when the cost of these fuels used to generate electricity increases.

Everyone will be affected: This new increase will not only be applicable to ordinary households, but also to commercial and industrial consumers.

Recovery every month: According to Awadhesh Kumar Verma, President of Uttar Pradesh State Electricity Consumer Council, this decision has been taken as per a rule of the Central Government. According to this rule, instructions were issued to all the states to collect fuel acquisition tax every month.

After this increase, it was expected that in the month of August, the UP Electricity Department is going to collect an additional Rs 22.63 crore in the form of this tax.
