Gold Silver Price: The prices of gold and silver continue to fluctuate. If you are going to the market to buy gold or silver today, first know the latest price of May 27. Today, on Tuesday, the price of gold has increased by Rs 490 per 10 grams, while there is no change in the prices of silver. According to the new prices, the price of gold is running at 98,000 and the price of silver is running at 1,00,000. 

According to the bullion market today on Tuesday, 27 May 2025, the price of 22 carat gold is Rs 90,100, the price of 24 carat is Rs 98,280 and the rate of 18 grams of gold is Rs 73,720. At the same time, the rate of 1 kg silver is Rs 1,00,000.

Is gold pure or not? How to check purity? 

1. Hall marks are given by ISO (Indian Standards Organization) to identify the purity of gold. 
2. 24 carat gold is 99.9 percent pure and 22 carat is about 91 percent pure. 
3. 24 carat gold should have 1.0 purity (24/24 = 1.00). 
4. Jewelleries are made by mixing 9% other metals like copper, silver, zinc in 22 carat gold. 
5. 22 carat gold should have 0.916 purity (22/24 = 0.916). 
6. 999 is written on 24 carat gold jewellery, 958 on 23 carat, 916 on 22 carat, 875 on 21 carat and 750 on 18 carat. There is 
7. no adulteration in 24 carat, its coins are available, but jewellery cannot be made from 24 carat gold, so most shopkeepers sell 18, 20 and 22 carat gold.
