Experts say that in April 2025, the All India CPI-IW (Inflation Index) has increased by 0.5 points, due to which it has increased to 143.5. It was 143.2 in January 2025. Based on these figures, it is being estimated how much the dearness allowance may increase in July.

How much can DA increase in July?

Looking at the current figures, experts believe that the dearness allowance of central employees may increase by 2 to 3 percent in July. Last time it was increased by 2 percent, but this time it is expected to increase by 3 percent.

How much did the index increase in the last two months

Experts say that the AI ​​CPI-IW data released by the Labor Department has seen a decline 3 times so far. But the index has increased in the last two months. Seeing this increase, it is believed that in July 2025, the dearness allowance (DA) and dearness relief (DR) of central employees and pensioners may increase by 2 to 3 percent. 

However, experts say that the index data for the month of May is yet to come. Only after that the situation will be more clear regarding the increase in dearness allowance.

How much will the employees benefit?

Let us understand with a simple example. If the dearness allowance (DA) of central employees increases by 2 or 3 percent, then they can get good benefits. Suppose the basic salary of an employee is Rs 40,000. If DA becomes 57%, then he will get Rs 22,800 every month as dearness allowance. 

On the other hand, if DA becomes 58%, it will increase to Rs 23,200 per month. In this way, increasing dearness allowance will increase the monthly income well. However, official confirmation is still awaited.
