Haryana News: To strengthen the railway infrastructure in Haryana, another 30 km long railway line is being laid. The land acquisition process for this railway track has been completed. These three railway stations have been prepared.
Chandigarh-Baddi Railway Route: The project will connect not only Haryana but also areas up to Himachal Pradesh, which will give a big boost to regional connectivity and business activities.
Three new stations are being built on the Chandigarh-Baddi railway line. These include Baddi, Nanakpur and Chandimandir railway stations. The construction work of all the three railway stations is underway.
Around 40 percent of the work has been completed. The work of the 30 kilometer railway being built between Chandimandir-Baddi is also 30 percent complete. This railway is being built in six layers.
It will have a short track of about 8.9 meters. Every kilometer of the railway track being built from Chandigarh to Baddi will be around 52 feet high. At some places, the track is at least 25 feet high.
There is no such track in Chandigarh and surrounding areas
About 60 percent of the work has been completed in Himachal Pradesh, while about 30 percent of the work has been completed in Haryana.
The remaining work is targeted to be completed by 2026. The purpose of building an elevated bridge is to save as much green field as possible.
This also includes road crossings, so that the railways can move ahead without disturbing the roads. This effort will save the cost of repairing land and tracks. At present, there is no such track in Chandigarh and surrounding areas.
Asia's largest industrial area will be united
