Rajasthan News: Rajasthan Finance Minister Diya Kumari said in the budget speech that the Rajasthan government will build nine greenfield expressways at a cost of Rs 60,000 crore. Along with this, a proposal has been made to build ring roads in 15 cities to reduce traffic congestion.
Rajasthan News, New Delhi: In this year's budget, the Rajasthan government has also focused on reducing traffic jams on the state's roads and improving the condition of the roads.
Diya Kumari, who holds the post of Finance Minister along with Deputy Chief Minister, announced this in her budget speech today.
Diya Kumari said in her budget speech that the Rajasthan government will build nine greenfield expressways of 2750 km length at a cost of Rs 60,000 crore. Along with this, a proposal has been made to build ring roads in 15 cities to reduce traffic congestion.
Ring roads will be built in these cities
To provide relief from the increasing traffic pressure in the major cities of the state and to ensure road safety and smooth traffic, in the first phase, ring roads will be built in 15 cities including Balotra, Jaisalmer, Jalore, Sikar, Dungarpur, Jhalawar, Banswara, Deeg. For this, the government has made a provision of 50 crores to prepare the DPR.
Along with this, Finance Minister Diya Kumari also announced the construction of 21000 km of non-paveable roads at a cost of 6000 crores.
Under this, in the first phase, construction of roads in every assembly constituency at a cost of 10 crores each and in desert areas at a cost of 15 crores each has been announced. The Finance Minister also announced the removal of BRTS (Bus Rapid Transit Service) from Jaipur.
He said that the state government has constructed more than 9600 km of new roads and upgraded 13000 km of roads in Rajasthan, and with the support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, work on the Ram Jal Setu Link Project was started.
The construction of these roads will not only strengthen traffic, but will also boost economic activities and improve connectivity in remote areas of the state.
The Ram Jal Setu Link Project will not only be beneficial for the farmers of Rajasthan, but will also help in strengthening the water supply network in the entire state.
