Big change in B.Ed and D.El.Ed! NCTE issued new rules B.Ed D.El.Ed New Rules

B.Ed D.El.Ed New Rules – If you are also dreaming of becoming a teacher, then this news is very important for you. In 2025, NCTE i.e. National Council for Teacher Education has made some big changes regarding B.Ed and D.El.Ed. The purpose of these changes is that now whatever future teachers are prepared, they should not only be degree holders, but also be able to teach in the real class.

So let's know what new rules have come and what can be the benefit or loss to the students.

Now you will not be able to do B.Ed and D.El.Ed together

The first and biggest change is that now students cannot do both B.Ed and D.El.Ed courses simultaneously. Earlier many people used to do both the courses simultaneously so that they could get a job quickly. But now this will not work.

NCTE says that when a student focuses on a single course, he will be able to understand that course well and the quality of learning will also be better. That is, now you will have to study with full preparation, not half-heartedly.

Now practical is also necessary in school along with studies

Now just reading books will not be enough. According to the new rules, students will have to go to schools and do internships. That is, going to the class and teaching the children, answering their questions, handling the class - all practical things will have to be learned.

With this, students will get the real experience of the classroom and when they become teachers in the future, they will already know everything. In a way, this will be like 'demo teaching', which will also increase confidence.

Only colleges recognized by NCTE are valid

Now if you want to do B.Ed or D.El.Ed, then before taking admission in any college, definitely check whether that college is recognized by NCTE or not. Because according to the new rules, institutions without recognition will no longer be able to offer these courses.

The advantage of this will be that students can now be saved from fake colleges and they will get good quality education.

Now entrance exam and interview will have to be given

Now admission will not be given directly. Students will have to first give a written exam and then clear the interview. Apart from this, understanding of Hindi and English language, and basic computer knowledge is also necessary.

NCTE believes that when teachers are connected to technology, they will also be able to teach children digitally. In today's era, it is the era of smart class and online education, so the teacher will also have to be smart.

Age limit and duration of course

Now the minimum age for admission in B.Ed course has been fixed at 21 years and maximum 35 years. However, SC/ST/OBC students will get age relaxation.

The duration of the course can be 1 or 2 years according to the institute. The same rules will apply for D.El.Ed as well. That is, now you can choose the course according to your convenience and time.

New course ITEP also launched

NCTE has also started a new course ITEP (Integrated Teacher Education Programme), which will be a four-year integrated course. It will have B.Ed studies along with B.A/B.Sc and after doing this course, the path to becoming a teacher directly will become easy.

This course will be especially beneficial for those youth who dream of becoming a teacher from the beginning and want to get complete professional training in four years.

What should students do now?

Now all the youth who are thinking of becoming teachers will have to keep their preparation and planning very clear. Before doing any course, its recognition, entrance preparation, need for practical training and age limit will have to be kept in mind.

These changes may seem a bit strict, but these will make the teachers of the future stronger. And when teachers are strong, our education system will also be better.
