Bihar News: 110 km new railway line in Bihar, 15 new stations and 1 halt, now travelling will be easier
Bihar News: Northeast Frontier Railway successfully completed the trial of the new 110 km long Araria-Galgalia railway line. 15 new stations have been built in this project and its total cost is Rs 2132 crore. This new railway line will connect Northeast Bihar with North Bengal and Northeast India, which will develop the region and benefit millions of people.
Bihar News: On Monday, the trial run of the train was successfully completed on the Araria-Galgalia new rail line under the supervision of Arun Kumar Chaudhary, General Manager of Malegaon Division of Northeast Frontier Railway.
This trial was done for technical checkup, so that it can be seen whether the track is completely safe and suitable for train operation or not. The railway administration carried out this entire process with great vigilance and attention.

Araria MP Pradeep Kumar Singh was also present with him. After this, when he reached Galgalia station, the local people welcomed him warmly.
People were waiting for the start of this railway line for many years. Now when the trial was successful, happiness was clearly visible on the faces of the people of the area.
People were calling it a historic moment for their area. During the trial, railway officials, technical staff, contractors and laborers were all standing at a safe distance from the track.
The strength of the signal system and track was carefully tested
In this test, the railways conducted a thorough check of the rail line by running the train at high speed. The train passed through several stations and tracks and the joints of the tracks, signal system and the strength of the track were carefully tested.
While inspecting the Araria-Galgalia rail line, Northeast Frontier Railway General Manager (Construction) Arun Kumar Chaudhary said that this rail line is about 110 km long. It will greatly help in the development of the region and will become a new and alternative rail route between North Bengal and Northeast India.
This will be a great news for millions of people
BJP MP Pradeep Kumar Singh said on this occasion that trains will start running from Araria to Galgalia before the assembly elections.
He said that this railway line will be a great news for lakhs of people of Purnia, Katihar and Araria. A total of 15 stations and a small halt station have been built on this railway line.
These stations include Galgalia, Thakurganj, Bhogdawar, Kadogaon, Pauakhali, Tulsia, Bibiganj, Tedhagachh, Kaliaganj, Kursakata, Bansbari, Rahmatpur, Araria Court and Araria.
This project was approved in 2004-05. In 2006, its foundation stone was laid at Gandhi Maidan Thakurganj in the presence of then MP Md Taslimuddin and former Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav. At that time its budget was about Rs 540 crore.
Then 11 years later, the Modi government provided funds to take the project forward in the first railway budget of 2014 and started the land acquisition work.
The state government issued a notification for land acquisition in June 2017, but the work started in 2019.
The total cost of this project is around Rs 2132 crore and 1632 acres of land has been acquired for it. This railway line will be a new route connecting Northeast Bihar with North Bengal and Northeast India.
