नानी के पास कुछ दिन और रह पाएंगे बच्चे! बढ़ी छुट्टियां- School Holiday Extended

School Holiday Extended – The scorching heat and heat wave of Uttar Pradesh finally forced the government to take a big step. The way the heat has shown its sharp attitude this time, it has affected both the health and studies of the children. This is the reason why the Yogi government has now extended the holidays of all council schools till 30 June 2025. Earlier these holidays were scheduled till June 15, but in view of the deteriorating weather conditions, this big decision was taken.

School Holiday Extended – Now all schools will reopen from July 1, that is, children have got about 15 more days of relief. However, there are some conditions in this relief, especially for the school staff.

The havoc of heat and the decision of the government

The temperature has reached above 45 degrees Celsius in many districts of Uttar Pradesh. The heat waves and hot winds had become a serious threat to the health of the children. Young children were getting restless in reaching school, while sitting in the class was also becoming difficult.

In such a situation, the Yogi government has ordered to keep the schools closed considering the safety of the students as paramount. In the order issued by Surendra Kumar Tiwari, Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Council Prayagraj, it has been clearly stated that no school will call the children before June 30, and if any school does so, action will be taken against it.

No leave for teachers, duty continues

While the students have got relief from the heat for a few more days, there is no scope for relief for the teachers. According to the order, all teachers, Shikshamitras and other staff will report to the school from June 16. That is, even if the classes are not run, all other educational and administrative work will continue in the school.

Teachers have been told to stay in the school and complete the syllabus planning, preparation of records and important work related to school administration. This order is also necessary so that when the children return, the school is fully ready.

Why did the students get leave?

The biggest reason for extending the leave has been the safety of the students. Problems like scorching sun, heat wave and lack of water had started affecting the health of young children. Especially in rural areas, due to lack of cooling system or proper ventilation in schools, the movement of children to school had also become risky.

The government has taken a timely decision understanding these circumstances. This decision shows that the state government is fully alert about the lives and health of children.

Relief to parents

Parents have got the most relief from this decision of the government. Where earlier children were getting ready to go to school from June 16, now they have got a little more time. This has also reduced the anxiety of parents a bit, because now they can keep their children safe at home.

Many parents have also thanked the government on social media and said that this decision was taken at the right time for the health of children.

What will be the plan ahead now?

Now the question arises that how will the loss of studies be compensated? The answer to this is – possible special classes and homework based education. The education department may soon issue guidelines on this, which include:

  1. Extra classes in July-August
  2. Keeping children engaged through homework or projects
  3. Fast completion of syllabus in schools after holidays
  4. Slight changes in school timings
  5. The aim of all this will be that children do not lag behind and the syllabus is completed on time.

Is this decision applicable to all schools?

Yes, this order is applicable to all council schools, which includes government primary, upper primary schools. Also, this order can affect many private schools as well, as they can also decide to extend the holidays at their own level.

What should students do during this time?

The extension of holidays is a good thing in a way, but it does not mean that children should be immersed in mobile or TV the whole day. Children should:

  1. Study a little bit every day
  2. Focus on homework or revision topics given by school
  3. Keep a balance between light exercise and study in the morning and evening
  4. Drink enough water to protect yourself from heat and avoid going out

This decision of the Uttar Pradesh government shows that when it comes to the health and safety of children, the government is not ready to take any risk. The decision to keep schools closed till June 30 is not only a cautious and far-sighted step, but it also reflects the sensitivity of the government.

Now it is the responsibility of all of us to follow this decision, keep the children safe and use this time properly to teach them new things so that holidays do not become just a time for rest but also a means of learning.
