E Shram Card Pension Scheme 2025: E-shram card holders above 60 years of age will be transferred a pension of ₹ 3000 per month to their bank account by the central government. The objective of this scheme is to make such senior workers self-reliant who are deprived of a permanent source of income. The government has allocated an amount of crores of rupees in the budget for this.

Registration will have to be done to join the scheme

The laborers who want to take advantage of this scheme will have to first go to the portal and get their registration done. Only after registration will they be able to get pension eligibility. At the time of application, their age, financial condition and validity of e-shram card will be checked. After completion of registration, pension amount will be provided after verification.

Who can avail the benefits of the scheme

The benefit of e-shram card pension scheme will be available only to those laborers who are natives of rural India, whose monthly income is ₹ 15,000 or less and who have crossed the age of 60 years. Apart from this, the economic condition of the worker should be such that he does not have any permanent employment or other source of income.

The government has kept this scheme completely balanced. In this, both men and women will be given equal benefits. To join the scheme, workers have to pay a monthly premium of Rs 55 to Rs 200, which is decided on the basis of their age. The government also contributes an amount equal to this deposit.

Required documents

While applying for the e-Shram Card Pension Scheme, the applicant has to upload some important documents. These include Aadhar card, identity card, bank passbook, residence certificate, caste certificate, income certificate, a passport size photo and mobile number. Scanned copies of all documents have to be uploaded along with the application form.

₹ 3000 pension will be sent directly to the bank account

Once the application is approved, an amount of ₹ 3000 is sent directly to the worker's bank account every month. The process of this transfer is done completely under the DBT i.e. Direct Benefit Transfer system, which maintains transparency and makes timely payment possible.
