How much can the salary increase?
Level-1 employees whose basic salary is Rs 18,000 are currently getting dearness allowance at the rate of 55%. If DA is added to the basic, then their salary can directly reach Rs 27,900. This will lead to a big increase in the monthly salary of the employees.
The formula of fitment factor may change
The fitment factor plays a very important role in increasing the salary and pension of employees. This time the news is that the fitment factor can be applied to Rs 27,900 instead of Rs 18,000.
Although there has been no official announcement from the government yet, but if this happens then there can be a big increase in the salary of the employees.
How much will the salary increase?
Till now, dearness allowance has been added to the basic salary in many pay commissions. The same method can be adopted in the 8th pay commission as well. In this, the fitment factor can be between 1.92 to 2.86.
If the fitment factor is 2.57, then the salary can go up to Rs 71,703. Whereas if it is 2.86, then the salary can be around Rs 79,794 i.e. around 80 thousand rupees.
When will the 8th Pay Commission be implemented?
