Delhi To Leh Bus Service: Delhi-Manali-Leh bus service started, know fare
Delhi-Leh Bus Service Latest Updates: After a long time, people's wait is over. Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus service will start on Delhi-Leh route from Wednesday.

The Transport Department has given permission to run buses on this route and the permit has been issued. Lahaul-Spiti MLA Anuradha Rana had informed on Tuesday that this bus service is going to start soon.
Although the Leh-Manali highway was opened in May this year, this bus service could not be started till now. Now passengers will be able to travel directly from Delhi to Leh by bus.
Bus services stopped due to High Court order
Due to the High Court's decision, many bus services in the state were stopped for some time. But now the government is gradually giving new permits. Under this, bus service has been resumed on important routes like Delhi-Leh.
Lahaul-Spiti's woman MLA Anuradha Rana said that earlier a petition was filed in the High Court regarding the old routes. Due to this reason, this route could not get approval. She said that she has talked to the officials of the Transport Department and now the way is clear. On Tuesday, she informed that this bus service will start from Keylong within two days.
MLA gave information, permit for Delhi-Leh route issued
MLA Anuradha Rana said that the process of getting the necessary permit to run a bus between Delhi and Leh was in its final stage and it was expected that this permit would be received by Tuesday evening. However, the permit for this route was issued later on Tuesday evening itself.
Tourists and local people will get big relief
The Delhi-Leh bus service is considered very important not only for the locals but also for the tourists. The number of people traveling on this route increases significantly during the summer season.
Now that this service has resumed, passengers will not need to go to Manali or Chandigarh to take transit. They will get the benefit of cheap and comfortable bus service directly from Delhi to Leh.

This bus service starts from Delhi and reaches Leh via Chandigarh, Mandi, Kullu, Manali, Atal Tunnel Rohtang, Keylong, Zingzingbar, Baralacha La, Sarchu, Nakila, Lachungla, Pang, Tanglangla, Upshi, Karu.
The route consists of four high mountain passes:
Baralacha La – 4,890 meters
Nakila Pass – 4,739 meters
Lachung La – 5,059 m
Tanglang La – 5,328 m
This route is counted among the highest and most challenging routes in the world, which passes through the beautiful valleys of Lahaul, Zanskar and Ladakh.
