Haryana news today: Haryana government's big announcement, these 30 thousand people will get their own house

Haryana news today: The Haryana government has given a great news for the people of Faridabad district. Preparations are being made to re-implement the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) in the state. Under this scheme, 30 thousand new flats will be built in Faridabad district.

However, the Municipal

Corporation has not yet been able to find suitable land to build such a large number of flats. Officials say that the land currently available with the corporation is not sufficient to build 30,000 flats.

Taking this issue seriously, the state government has sent a letter to the Municipal Corporation and has given instructions to search for new land as soon as possible so that work on the scheme can be started.

50 thousand people applied, 30 thousand were selected

According to the information, till now about 50 thousand people have applied under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Faridabad. 

After investigation, the applications of 30 thousand of these people have been found to be correct. These people will now be given flats under the scheme.

Out of these 30 thousand, there are 240 people who have expressed their desire to build houses on their own land. The rest of the people want to buy flats built by the government.

Houses being provided in other districts

There may be a shortage of land in Faridabad, but some people in other districts like Rohtak, Bhiwani, Panipat and Sonipat have already got houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. 

The planning branch of Faridabad Municipal Corporation is now working on where such land can be found where 30 thousand flats can be built.

Statement of officials

District Project Nodal Officer Dwarka Prasad said that flats will be given to 30 thousand eligible people in Faridabad. The planning branch is continuously looking for land. Soon the place will be decided and construction work will be started.
