Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor: Orbital rail corridor will start soon in this city of Haryana, drivers will get relief
The section from Manesar to Patli of Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor has started in Gurugram. This will reduce the pressure of heavy vehicles on the roads, reduce pollution and save diesel. Now cars will be able to be delivered to different parts of the country on time. This project will benefit both the company and the general public as traffic will be reduced and pollution levels will also decrease.

Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor: The section of Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor from IMT Manesar Maruti Plant to Patli Railway Station will be operational from Tuesday.
With its opening, the scene of IMT Manesar and its surroundings will start changing. While the pressure of heavy vehicles on the roads will reduce significantly, the pollution level will also decrease.
Diesel will be saved, and cars will be able to be transported to different parts of the country or ports on time. Many times, due to accidents or traffic jams, trailers are not able to reach Patli station on time. Problems also arise due to waterlogging during heavy rains.
Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor is being constructed by Haryana Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (HRIDC) between Palwal-Manesar-Sonipat.
About seven kilometers of the corridor from Maruti plant to Patli railway station has been completed. It will be jointly inaugurated by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini on Tuesday.
Cars will be loaded in a freight train at the inauguration. For this, a yard has been built in the premises of Maruti plant. Freight trains will come from Patli station in the yard itself and cars will be loaded in them.
Currently, cars are transported to the station through trailers. Trial has been done earlier but freight trains loaded with one or two cars will be sent for a few days to see if there is any deficiency in the system.
The number of freight trains will be increased as per requirement. After this, the number of freight trains will be gradually increased as per requirement.
The company has set a target of loading four and a half lakh cars in freight trains from the plant's yard every year. It is said that on an average 500 trailers are used to transport cars to Patli station every day.
Not only this, auto parts will also come to the plant from different parts of the country by goods trains. Containers are used for auto parts. From this, one can easily imagine how much pressure heavy vehicles must be putting on IMT Manesar and the surrounding roads.
The project will be completed by the year 2027. The target has been set to complete the entire project by the year 2027. A 4.7 kilometer long double stack container tunnel is being built in the Aravalli hill area on the corridor itself.
Its work is going on very fast. On the corridor, stations will be built at Turkpur, Kharkhoda, Jasor Khedi, Mandothi, Badli, Devrakhana, Badhsa, New Patali, Pachgaon, Manesar, Chandla Dungarwas, Dhulavat, Sohna, Silani and New Palwal from the Sonipat side.
Maruti plant located in Kharkhoda, Sonipat will also be directly connected to the corridor. Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor will be connected to Prithla and Tawadu through Dedicated Freight Corridor.
The length of Haryana Orbital Rail Project is 126 km from Palwal to Sonipat. A total amount of Rs 5618 crore will be spent on the construction of the project.
There will be a 4.7 km long tunnel (up-down) in the Aravalli hilly area. The height of both the tunnels will be such that double stack containers can pass through the corridor.
The project is being developed along with the KMP Expressway. After the completion of the project, it will be possible to transport five crore tonnes of goods per day.
Along with goods trains, passenger trains will also run on this corridor. Trains will be able to run at a speed of up to 160 km per hour on the corridor.
The opening of the corridor will not only benefit the company but also the general public. Traffic pressure will be reduced, pollution levels will decrease and there will be huge savings in diesel.
There is a need to make continuous efforts to reduce traffic pressure and pollution levels. It is a pleasure that the general public will benefit from the opening of the section from Maruti Plant to Patli Railway Station. - RC Bhargava, Chairman, Maruti Suzuki India Limited
