MP News: Farmers of Madhya Pradesh are very worried about the sale of summer moong. Because the government is not buying the moong crop. Due to which farmers are forced to sell the crop in the mandis with huge losses. Farmers protesting across the state regarding MSP have said that if there is no hearing, they will protest across the state.

Madhya Pradesh News: Farmers of Madhya Pradesh are very upset about the government purchase of moong. Farmers are currently protesting at many places regarding the sale of moong.
Because farmers have to sell their moong crop in the markets cheaper than the minimum support price. Due to which farmers are losing thousands of rupees in the yield per acre.
After which Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that our government is always known for taking farmer-friendly decisions. In such a situation, an issue has come up regarding the purchase of moong and in this regard, we are talking to the Union Agriculture Minister and will also talk to the farmers' union. Our government is a sensitive government and will solve all matters through dialogue.
Farmers are unhappy, they have to sell at low prices
There is a lot of resentment among the farmers of the state regarding the sale of moong. At many places, farmers are protesting by demonstrating, shouting slogans and doing Jal Satyagraha.
The reason for this is that there is no government purchase of moong in the state, due to which farmers are forced to sell their produce in the agricultural markets at a price below the support price of about Rs 3000 per quintal.
This year the government has fixed the minimum support price of moong at Rs 8768, while the prices in the open market have come down to Rs 5000 to Rs 5500 per quintal.
Farmers say that they are spending Rs 7 to 8 thousand per acre per quintal, while the prices in the markets are being quoted at a much lower rate. Last year, prices in the open market were above Rs 8000 per quintal.
Sowing in 12 lakh hectares
The area under moong, a summer crop which gets ready in a short time, is continuously increasing in the state. In the current year, moong crop has been sown in 12 lakh hectares.
About 40 percent of this crop has been harvested and sold in the markets. Many farmers have kept the crop in their homes waiting to be sold at MSP, while in some areas the crop is standing in the fields. Moong has been sown in about 25 districts of Bhopal, Jabalpur and Narmadapuram divisions.
On Thursday, the officials of the Kisan Sangh held a press conference in Bhopal, Jabalpur and Indore simultaneously. In Bhopal, the state president of the union, Kamal Singh Anjana, said, two days ago, under the leadership of the Kisan Sangh, farmers had protested and submitted memorandums at the tehsil headquarters and demanded the government to purchase moong and urad.
At the same time, the delegation of the state met Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and put forth the farmers' side, but the government's insensitive attitude towards moong-urad producing farmers has become evident.
The government flatly refused to buy moong and urad at the support price. State President Anjana alleged that in connivance with the traders, the farmers are being invited to be openly looted in the markets. The Kisan Sangh will strongly oppose this loot.
Wait for three days, then we will protest
National President, Rashtriya Kisan Mazdoor Mahasangh Shivkumar Sharma 'Kakkaji' has said that due to non-purchase of moong in the state at the support price, the farmers are worried and confused.
The government should clarify its stand. Due to non-purchase of moong by the government, the farmers are forced to sell their crops in the mandis, due to which they are suffering huge financial losses. We will wait for three days for the stand of the government, after which a state-wide agitation will be started.
