Solar panels will be installed in 47 villages in Haryana with a population of more than 5000

Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme: In this district of Haryana, the Prime Minister Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme is being run by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India. One component of the scheme is the model solar village, which aims to build a model solar village in every district of the country. 47 villages of the district have been selected for this scheme.

Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme: In this district of Haryana, the Prime Minister Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme is being run by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India. 

One component of the scheme is Model Solar Village, which aims to build a model solar village in every district of the country. Under the scheme, one crore rupees will be given for installing the maximum number of solar panel equipment in villages with a population of more than 5 thousand on the basis of the 2011 census.

Giving information, Deputy Commissioner Mahavir Kaushik said that 47 villages with a population of more than 5 thousand have been selected by the district level committee. 

The names of the selected villages are Badsi, Bapodra, Kalinga, Chang, Kharak Kalan, Devsar, Baliali, Barwa, Dinod, Dhanana, Bamla, Tigrana, Bhiwani Zone, Bahal, Kairu, Kungad, Lohari Jatu, Jamalpur, Mundhal Khurd, Khanak, Talu, Manheru, Mitathal, Paluwas, Miran, Badesra, Pur, Jui Khurd, Sandwa, Sohansra, Lohani, Rivaasa, Sagwan, Mandhana, Kudal, Saye, Dhani Mahu, Kirawad, Devrala, Ratera, Dharedu, Sivana, Bajeena, Kohad, Kharak Khurd, Biran, Sui.

He informed that under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Free Bijli Yojana, the village that installs the maximum number of solar panels among the villages with a population of more than 5 thousand will be given an amount of one crore rupees by the central government. According to the census of the year 2011, 47 villages of the district have been included in the scheme. 

The 6 month long competition for adopting solar equipment in these villages has started from 26th May and will continue till 25th November. The village with the best performance will be made a model solar village. 

In the selected villages, works will be done in the field of solar energy for public interest. The Deputy Commissioner informed that the Gram Panchayat can become a solar model village by adopting the schemes being run by the Energy Department.

Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme Antyodaya families whose annual income is less than Rs 1.80 lakh and electricity consumption is up to 2400 units will get a grant of Rs 60 thousand from the Central Government and Rs 50 thousand from the Haryana Government on installing solar panel up to 2 kW. 

Such families will be given a total assistance of Rs 1.10 lakh. Families whose annual income is up to Rs 3 lakh and consumption is up to 2400 units will get a grant of Rs 60 thousand from the Center and Rs 20 thousand from the state. 

A total assistance of Rs 80 thousand will be given. A grant of Rs 78 thousand will be given by the Central Government on solar panel up to 3 kW. 

The grant of the Central Government is for all income groups. Pradhan Mantri Kusum Solar Water Pumping System Under this scheme, solar pumps are being made available to farmers for irrigation at 75 percent subsidy. 

Online applications are invited from time to time by the Department of New and Renewable Energy. Farmers can avail the benefits of the scheme by applying for solar pumps.

Solar Street Light

Under this scheme, solar street lights and solar high masks are being provided on subsidy for rural areas on first come first serve basis. The cost of a 12 watt solar street light is Rs 16,500 on which the government is providing a subsidy of Rs 4000. 

The Gram Panchayat will have to deposit the beneficiary share at the rate of Rs 12,500 per light. Apart from this, the cost of an 88 watt solar high mask light is Rs 1,03,265 on which the government is providing a subsidy of Rs 20,000.
