People in Delhi and surrounding areas were troubled by the heat and humidity for a long time. On Sunday, the weather took a turn and dark clouds covered the sky in the afternoon. After this, there was heavy rain with strong winds, which brought a lot of relief from the heat.

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Delhi and has predicted rain till July 2. During this period, the temperature can remain around 34 degrees Celsius maximum and 26 degrees minimum. The wind speed can reach 30 to 40 kilometers per hour.

During this time, about 3 thousand devotees were stranded. Gangotri and Yamunotri highways were also closed for several hours. However, the administration has intensified efforts to open the road and the Kedarnath Yatra has been resumed.
