Uttar Pradesh News: 21 national highways in UP will be made four lanes, farmers will have fun

UP News: The Uttar Pradesh government has set a target to convert 21 highways of the state into four lanes to improve traffic. The Public Works Department has conducted a survey and sent a proposal. The order to widen all the highways was given by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. This project will connect many district headquarters with four-lane roads, which will improve connectivity and reduce the rate of accidents.

Uttar Pradesh News: This is an important and visionary initiative of the Uttar Pradesh government. The decision of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to convert 21 state highways into four lanes will not only ease traffic but will also accelerate the development of the state. 

The 21 state highways of the state will be made into four lanes by widening them from 14 to 25 meters, which will solve the problem of traffic jams. Currently, the width of most of these state highways is seven to fourteen meters. 

The Public Works Department has examined these state highways and sent a proposal to the government to convert them into four lanes. Of these state highways, three are connected to Varanasi, while two are connected to Hardoi.

Be connected to a four lane road

The order to widen all the state highways in the state was given by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath as the departmental minister of the Public Works Department. 

Actually, there are 142 state highways in the state. Out of these, a proposal has been prepared to widen 10 out of 107 state highways in the current financial year, out of which 21 will be developed into four lanes. The government wants to connect all the district headquarters of the state with four-lane roads.

Will connect the international airport and agricultural university

Also, Jagdishpur state highway will be widened from seven to 22 meters and will be connected to Amethi district headquarters through a four-lane road. This will provide direct connectivity to Amethi from Sultanpur, Pratapgarh and Raebareli. 

Similarly, Bahraich Bhinga Sirsia Chaudhary Deeh Road will be made four-lane. Deoria-Kasva Padrauna state highway will be made four-lane and will connect Kushinagar International Airport and Agricultural University. 

Jalaun state highway, which has been running for ten years, will also be made into a four-lane road. Its work was started ten years ago, but the work stopped after some part was completed.

Proposal for four lane construction

Apart from this, BSA State Highway and Hardoi's Bilgram Unnao-Prayagraj road will be made into four lanes. Due to the high accident rate on these roads, a proposal has been made to make four lanes. 

By developing these two highways into four lanes, the connectivity of Kanpur, Unnao, Prayagraj, Kannauj, Bareilly and Shahjahanpur will improve. Also, Varanasi-Kachhwa road, Chaubepur-Varanasi road and Kachhwa-Chaubepur road will be made into four lanes.

This state highway will also be four-lane.

Fatehgarh-Gursahay Ganj Highway of Farrukhabad, Gosaiganj-Bani-Mohaan Highway of Lucknow, Bilgram-Unnao-Bilgram Highway of Unnao, Moradabad-Bulandshahr Highway of Bulandshahr, Baraut-Meerut Highway of Meerut, Lumbini Highway of Sonbhadra, Moradabad-Bulandshahr Highway, Bulandshahr Highway of Sambhal, Khatima Road of Muzaffar Nagar, Kanchanpur-Madhupur Road of Chandauli and Prayagraj-Gorakhpur Road of Jaunpur.
