There are 358 villages in the Yamuna Authority in Hathras district. But the authority is still limited to Gautam Buddha Nagar and Bulandshahr. After this, work on development plans is going to start in Aligarh and Mathura.
The master plan of New Agra is also almost ready, but the government has not yet looked towards Hathras. Whereas there are villages up to 45 km from Hathras to Yamuna Expressway.
The people of these villages have been expecting development for years. To end this wait, the authority has decided to make an important plan in Hathras district. The process of selecting the company to survey and make a master plan in the notified area is going to start soon.
Both industrial and residential areas will be developed
Residential, industrial and institutional areas will be developed in Hathras district, like in other urban centres of the state. Areas will be connected by road network. Sewer, drinking water pipeline, power line and other infrastructure will be built. Necessary facilities, such as schools, will be developed.
Traditional industries will grow
The new city will give a boost to traditional industries in Hathras. There is a large production of grains, fruits and vegetables in Hathras. Therefore, agricultural products and food processing units will be built. This will allow farmers to sell their agricultural products in the foreign market.
