Uttar Pradesh News: The weather has changed once again in Uttar Pradesh. There is a possibility of strong thunderstorms and rain in about 40 districts of the state. 

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert and appealed to the people to remain alert. Cloud movement, light to moderate rain and drizzle are continuing in many areas of the state. There is a possibility of strong winds (30–40 km/h) and rain with thunder at some places during the next 24 to 48 hours.

Yellow alert for thunderstorm and rain

A yellow alert for thunderstorms and rain has been issued for Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, including Lucknow, Kanpur and Gorakhpur. The region is surrounded by five disturbances and circulations. 

The Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea are constantly passing moisture. Hence there have been thunderstorms and rain. In many places of the state, where the temperature is high, there is either no rain, or just some rain.

UP is also close to monsoon. The Meteorological Department has expected monsoon to become active in Lucknow by June 23. On the other hand, the easterly wind has strengthened the western disturbance. 

This situation will persist for the next 48 hours. Therefore, the Meteorological Department said that rain and drizzle will continue for the time being amid the movement of clouds. There may be rain at many places especially on June 18, 19 and 20.

Rain and drizzle in many cities of the state

On Monday morning, the weather improved due to rain and drizzle in many cities of the state. In some areas of Lucknow, such as Dubagga, Para, IIM Road and Kursi Road, it rained for some time. Later, the sunshine created humidity amid the movement of clouds. 

The Meteorological Department said that there will be some clouds during the day on Tuesday. The weather will change again at night. At this time there will be heavy clouds. The wind will also become strong. Along with this, light to moderate rain may occur with thunder and lightning.

The Indian Meteorological Department says that there will be heavy rainfall in some places and none in others during the pre-monsoon period. Bareilly received 147 mm rainfall at one time. 

Also, Kanpur has been worried about pre-monsoon for a long time. Although the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert till June 21, there is more possibility of it on June 19.
