32 districts will get special benefit from this
The 38 state highways of the state, which are 2515 km long, will be converted into national highways. 32 districts of the state will get special benefits from this.
The road construction department has started working for this. Last month, the Additional Chief Secretary of the Road Construction Department, in a meeting with other officials including the regional Chief Engineer, made important consensus for the improvement of 38 state highways into national highways. Therefore, work was asked to be done as soon as possible to convert the state highways into national highways.
Developed from State Highway to National Highway
Later, Sunil Kumar, the department's works management engineer (works management), sent a letter to chief engineers, ordering them to do more work to develop state highways like national highways.
Inclusion in the national highway will provide more funds to develop these roads, increasing their width from two to four lanes. Currently, most of the state roads, which are being developed from state highways to national highways, are two-lane and some are single-lane. All these will be four-lane when the national highways are improved.
It also includes two important roads of Bhojpur district. One of these is Sakkadi-Nasriganj Road 81, which is 83 km long and connects Sasaram district. SH 102 is Bihiya-Bihta, which is 54 km.
Bhojpur Road Construction Department Executive Engineer Sikandar Paswan said that this was discussed in the VC recently and the paperwork will soon come to the office.
