Delhi-NCR: 2 underpasses will be built on this expressway of UP, traffic of many villages will improve

Delhi-NCR: Due to the problem of daily traffic jam in Delhi NCR, the precious time of the common people is wasted here. An underpass will be constructed on the expressway in Assure area which will get rid of this problem. 

15 agencies have come forward for the construction of the underpass. 15 companies have applied to build two underpasses on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. 

The finance bids of these agencies will now be opened. The agency that claims to build the underpass at the lowest rate will get the job.

Agency under tender process

Underpasses will be built in front of Sector-128 Sultanpur and Sector-168 Jhatta village on the Greater Noida Expressway. It is to be built in Sector-128, 129, 132 and 108 in front of Sultanpur. 

This underpass will cost about Rs 81 crore 61 lakh. Second, Jhatta underpass is to be built in sector 145, 146, 155, 159 and 168. According to the tender, its cost will be Rs 99 crore 74 lakh. 

Seven organizations have applied to build the Sultanpur underpass and eight organizations have applied to build the Jhatta underpass. If the agency is selected under this tender process, both underpasses can start from August.

Underpass structure on expressway road

Authority officials said that the papers of the concerned agencies are being checked under the technical bid. The financial bid will be opened after a week. 

The financial condition of the agencies is assessed through this bid. Apart from this, various rates are fixed by the agencies for building the underpass. 

According to the rules, the institution with the ability to build the underpass at the lowest cost is given the responsibility of construction work. 

Tenders were issued earlier for these two underpasses, but the agencies could not meet the standards. Authority engineers say that the underpass work will be done in several parts. 

In the first phase, the structure connected to the service road will be built at both ends. Later, the structure of the underpass will be built on each expressway road, so that vehicles do not have to pass together.

Target of construction and preparation in one and a half year

Noida Development Authority officials said that the construction of both underpasses will be completed in 18 months. Both underpasses will use diaphragm technology. 

The first diaphragm wall will be built using this technology. This wall will be built underground on both sides and the roof of the underpass will be cast over it. It will take about 26 days to become strong after drying. Officials said that the road will be rebuilt and then opened for traffic.

Three underpasses were completed in two and a half years

Noida Development Authority officials said that in about four years, three underpasses have been constructed on the Greater Noida Expressway. 

These include Sector-96, 142 Advent Underpass and 142 Safipur. With the construction of underpasses, travelling on the expressway has become very easy.
