Greenfield Expressway: A new expressway will be built by acquiring land of 100 villages in 2 districts of MP

MP News: The work on the Greenfield Expressway to be built between Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh and Agra in Uttar Pradesh can start soon. 

This expressway will pass through the land of farmers of three states, which include Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan. 

For which 220 crores have been approved for the compensation amount to be given to the farmers, this money will be given to the farmers of all three states as compensation. 

Let us tell you that it is proposed to build an 88.4 kilometer long Greenfield Expressway between Gwalior and Agra at a cost of Rs 4,263 crores. Which will also include the land of Rajasthan. 

100 villages of Morena-Gwalior 

In fact, to build the Greenfield Expressway, the land of farmers from about 100 villages of Gwalior and Morena districts of Madhya Pradesh will be acquired, while the land of farmers from 14 villages of Agra district of Uttar Pradesh and 30 villages of Dholpur district of Rajasthan is being acquired to build this expressway. 

Let us tell you that the contract for the construction of this Greenfield Expressway has been done with GR Infra, while now the land has to be made available for the National Highway Authority of India as well, in such a situation, the process of compensation to the farmers has to be done first, in which this work is necessary.

Six lane will be built between Gwalior and Agra 

Let us tell you that a six-lane highway of 88.400 km will be built between Gwalior and Agar. The construction work of the Greenfield Expressway can start from the month of November. 

Although farmers have raised objections regarding the compensation amount, NHAI officials claim that it has been resolved. It is being told that the construction of the expressway is now being done at a fast pace. 

Because on one hand the company has to arrange the money in 6 months, while the land has to be given to NHAI in the same time. Under this project, repair work is also to be done in the Gwalior Agra Expressway. 

Let us tell you that after this expressway, vehicles that want to go directly from Gwalior to Agra will be able to travel on it. 

They will not have to stop in between, while vehicles that want to go towards Morena, Dholpur will take the help of the currently built four-lane road. The repair work of which is about to start, its repair is also to be completed by 2026. 

Almost all permissions have been received from NHAI for the construction of the Greenfield Expressway. Now only the work of land acquisition is left, after which the construction work can start.
