The Haryana government has taken a new initiative to connect the youth with self-employment. Now the youth of the state will be able to use the empty rooms of their house as a guest house and earn a good income from it.
For this, free training of home-stay will be given by the government. This training is being run by the Skill Development and Industrial Training Department of Haryana.
The government says that the aim of this scheme is to make the youth self-reliant and give them an opportunity to earn by connecting them with tourism.
In this training, they will be taught how they can make some rooms of their houses clean and suitable for guests to stay. Along with this, they will also be given information about important aspects like behavior with guests, booking process, cleanliness, food and drink and security.
Who can apply?
Youth between the ages of 15 and 29 can apply for this training. Initially, this scheme was limited to Panchkula, Kurukshetra, Gurugram and Faridabad districts only but now it has been opened for all the districts of Haryana.
Last date of application:
The last date to apply under this scheme is June 6, 2025. Interested young men and women can apply in the nodal ITI (Industrial Training Institute) of their district.
How to apply?
Application form and terms and conditions can be downloaded from the official website of the department www.itiharyana.gov.in . After filling the application form, it has to be submitted to the concerned nodal ITI.
Highlights of the training:
This training will be completely free. Youth will be prepared for home hospitality service (home stay). Through this, they can earn from their homes. After the training, the department will also help in marketing and promotion if needed.
Selection Process
The selection under this scheme will be strictly as per the standards set by the department and the decision of the department will be considered final.
