Panipat Railway Station: This railway station of Haryana will look like an airport, beautification will be done with 300 crores

Panipat Railway Station: On the new year, big news is coming from Haryana's Panipat district. The Rail Land Development Authority Department (RLDA) will rebuild the Panipat railway station at a cost of about Rs 300 crore. 

Under this, the railway station will be built with advanced technology and multi-story buildings will also be constructed. Currently, the Panipat railway station is a two-story building, which will be demolished to build a multi-story building.

Coach indicator system will be installed on the platform

According to the information, the vacant land on the railway will be given to the developers for commercial development. It is also being told that this project will be developed on the Public and Private Partnership (PPP) model. 

Along with the construction of the railway station, shops will be built on both sides. To make the access of passengers to the station easy, the station will be connected from under the Asandh Road and Jatal Road flyovers.

Along with this, coach indicator system will also be installed on all platforms, which will help passengers to know where their coach will stop. 

Let us tell you that RLDA has entrusted the responsibility of detailed master planning, urban designing and preparation of detailed project report of this project to a private company.

More than 30 thousand passengers travel daily

Panipat railway station is a major junction in the Delhi-NCR region, which is historically and commercially important. About 54 trains pass through this station, out of which 22 trains stop here. 

5 platforms have been built here, from where more than 30 thousand passengers travel daily. In such a situation, its redevelopment will provide more convenience to the passengers.

Beautification work will start as soon as the drawing and survey are completed

It is being told that this project will take about 3 years to complete. As soon as the drawing and survey work is completed, the work of redevelopment of the station will begin. 

The current building and stairs at the station will be demolished and a new two-storey station and stairs will be built. The railway quarters will be demolished and a multi-storey building will be built, so that more accommodation can be built in less space. Also, the waiting area will also be made in a better way than before.

A new bridge will be built for Model Town

For better connectivity with Model Town, the existing foot over bridge will be demolished and a new bridge will be built. It is being said that the width of the new foot over bridge will be more and escalators will be installed on both sides. This will make it easier for passengers to commute. With the redevelopment of this station, more trains are likely to stop here.
