Preparations underway to build and widen more than 500 roads in Bulandshahr at a cost of Rs 1907 crore

Uttar Pradesh News: The government has started several important projects towards road construction and widening in Bulandshahr district, which will improve the condition of 543 roads in the district and facilitate traffic. 543 roads will be constructed and widened in the district at a cost of Rs 1907 crore.
The construction of incomplete bypasses in Dibai and Secunderabad will be completed, which will widen the road from DAV Tiraha to Bhud Chauraha in Bulandshahr.
The Public Works Department has prepared an action plan and sent it to the government for approval. Officials of all three sections of the Public Works Department have planned the widening and renovation of many roads in the district.
The plan prepared on the instructions of the government has proposals for construction, widening and repair of roads.
Widening of roads
A proposal has been made to widen 543 small and big roads in Bulandshahr district. This includes widening of roads from DAV Tiraha to Bhud Chauraha in Bulandshahr, construction of a four km long bypass in Secunderabad and a bypass in Dibai. Apart from this, a proposal of Rs 245 crore has been sent to build a bypass in the city.
A budget of Rs 200 crore has also been sought for land acquisition to build the bypass. The plan is to widen five state highways and 16 other district highways, three bypasses are also included.
Widening of DAV Tiraha will provide relief
People are facing problems due to the increase in the number of vehicles from Bhud Chauraha via Tehsil DVE flyover. Although the road is four-lane, it is only seven or seven meters wide on both sides of the divider.
From DAV Tiraha to Shikarpur bypass, its width is nine meters on both sides of the divider. In such a situation, Bhud Road will also be nine to nine meters wide on both sides of the divider.
New layers will also be laid on roads that are gradually becoming dilapidated, so that drivers will not face any problems. There is also a plan to widen the old GT Road from the tehsil to National Highway-34 to make it a four-lane road. This will provide relief to about 20 thousand car drivers who pass through here daily.
These major roads are to be widened and constructed
- Bypass construction in the city, length 12 km, cost 245 crores
- Secunderabad-Khurja road to Hamidpur-Kuchesar road, length 4 km, cost 4 crores
- Bypass construction in Dibai, length 6.80 km, cost 45.50 crores
- Widening from DAV Tiraha of the city to Bhud Chauraha, length 2.2 km, cost 31 crores
- Imliya to Lakhawati on Syana State Highway, length 18 km double lane paved shoulder
- National Highway 34 to Tehsil Road, length 4.72 km, length 16 km
- Syana-Unchagaon-Bhadkau to Narsena Canal Track, cost 11.40 crores
The district's work plan has been prepared on the instructions of the government. There is a plan to renovate and widen a total of 543 roads. About Rs 1907 crore is to be spent on this. After getting approval from the government, the work will be started by completing the tender process.
