News, Digital Desk- Central employees are eagerly waiting for the Eighth Pay Commission (8th pay commission update), which has been approved by the Central Government. 

With its implementation, the salary, pension and allowances of the employees will increase. Although no definite date has been revealed, it is expected to be implemented in 2026. (Employees latest update)

When will it be implemented?

The government has not yet given any fixed date for when the 8th Pay Commission will be implemented. But it is being said that it may be implemented from January 1, 2026. However, some experts say that there may be some delay in this. In such a situation, it may be implemented from April 1, 2026.

Usually, a pay commission is constituted once every 10 years. The tenure of the 7th Pay Commission is ending in December 2025. The 8th Pay Commission will benefit about 50 lakh government employees and 68 lakh pensioners.

How will the salary be decided?

When the Eighth Pay Commission is implemented, the salary of central employees will be revised based on the fitment factor. In the Seventh Pay Commission, this factor was 2.57. 

Some media reports suggest that the government may settle for a factor of 1.92, while according to other reports, the government may opt for a higher factor of 2.86. This fitment factor will determine the revised salary of the employees.

How much will the salary increase?

Central employees can get a big relief when the Eighth Pay Commission is implemented. If the fitment factor is 3 or more, the minimum monthly salary will reach Rs 51,480 with an increase of Rs 19,000. 

This will increase the salary of the employees significantly. Also, the pension will also increase to Rs 25,740, which will also benefit retired employees.
