Third paper in CTET after the new education policy?
- Now let's talk about the most talked about change this time - the entry of the third paper.
- As you know, till now there are two papers in CTET:
- Paper I – Teacher Eligibility for Class 1 to 5
- Paper II – Teacher Eligibility for Class 6 to 8
But after the implementation of the new education policy 2020, now there is a discussion that a new paper can also be included for secondary i.e. class 9 to 12, which can be called Paper III.
The reason for this is that NCTE and the Ministry of Education have now made ITEP (4-year Teacher Training Program) compulsory from 2030. Also, one-year B.Ed course is also being restarted. So now CTET exam can be mandatory for classes 1 to class 12.
Although there has been no final announcement from CBSE regarding the third paper, but media reports are pointing towards this change.
