Sub incpector arrested

A big news has come from Sonipat district of Haryana. Here the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) team has taken a big action against corruption and arrested a woman sub-inspector red handed while taking bribe.

The name of the arrested woman sub-inspector is Manju and she was posted at Civil Lines police station in Sonipat. It is being told that she had demanded bribe in exchange for cancelling a criminal case.

Bribe was demanded in exchange for getting the case under section 376 cancelled

The case is related to Ankit, a youth resident of Jua village in Sonipat. Ankit had filed a complaint in the Anti Corruption Bureau in Rohtak. In the complaint, it was stated that a woman had filed a false rape case (Section 376) against him in the Civil Lines police station.

To get this case cancelled, Sub Inspector Manju posted at the police station had demanded a bribe of Rs 1 lakh from him. According to Ankit, he had already given Rs 40,000 to Manju and when he went to give the remaining Rs 60,000, the ACB took action and caught Manju red-handed.

Sub inspector caught from the police station itself

Officials of the Rohtak ACB team said that they first investigated the complaint and after gathering evidence, laid a trap as soon as Sub Inspector Manju took a bribe of Rs 60 thousand from the complainant Ankit.

At the same time, the ACB team arrested him red-handed in the Civil Lines police station itself. Video recording of this entire action has also been done which will be used as evidence.

ACB started investigation

Now the ACB team has started legal action against the woman sub-inspector. A case has been registered against Manju under the Anti-Corruption Act on the charge of taking bribe and she is being questioned. After this case came to light, there has been a stir in the police department and senior officers are seriously investigating the whole matter.

Strictness against corruption is necessary

This incident has once again made it clear that corruption is still a serious problem in the police department. If the police, which provides justice to the common man, itself breaks the law, then people's trust will be broken. This action of the ACB has sent a strong message that those who indulge in corruption, no matter what position they hold, will not be spared.
