Indian Railways infrastructure: The structure of the country's transport connectivity rests on railways. Big railway infrastructure projects are being given to the states by the central government. 

The central government will expand the line in three states, which will ease traffic connectivity in 1408. Traffic connectivity will be easy due to the distance of 318 km railway track in Kinnu states. 

Doubling of railway lines will cost approximately Rs 6405 crore

The central government has allowed the linking of two railway lines together to provide connectivity to about 1408 villages in Jharkhand, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. 

The doubling of Koderma-Barkakana (133 km) and Bellary-Chikjajur (185 km) railway lines will cost about Rs 6405 crore. 28.19 lakh people of seven districts of Jharkhand, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh will benefit from these projects.

The central government has allowed the integration of two railway lines to provide better connectivity to about 1408 villages in Jharkhand, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. 

The two railway lines are: the first is about 133 km from Koderma to Barkakana, and the second is about 185 km from Bellary to Chikjajur. 

The cost of doubling will be around Rs 6405 crore. These projects of doubling of these two railway lines were approved in the Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday.

28.19 lakh people will get benefit

Giving information about the cabinet decisions, Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that these two projects will include seven districts of Jharkhand, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. Also, 28.19 lakh people living in 1408 villages in these seven districts will get the benefit of this.

Union Minister Vaishnav said that the 133 km long railway line between Koderma and Barkakana passes through a major coal producing area of ​​Jharkhand. 

Also, it is the shortest and best rail link between Patna and Ranchi. In response to a question, Vaishnav said that it would be better to double these two railway lines to transport coal, iron ore, cement, agricultural goods, fertilizers and other materials. Its doubling will enable 49 million tonnes more freight to be transported every year.
