The development of Lucknow city of Uttar Pradesh is going to pick up pace soon. For which a budget of Rs 160 crore has been released by the Municipal Corporation.

Lakhnau News: Lucknow city is going to speed up the development track only through water. A big decision has been taken to speed up the pace of development in the city. Under this, a budget of Rs 80 crore has been approved to speed up the schemes.
80 crore budget
To speed up the development of Lucknow city, during the Smart City meeting chaired by the Mayor last week, the Municipal Corporation officials had put forward a proposal for development work.
The Fund Board has approved it in the meeting. Under this scheme, a budget of Rs 160 crore was sought for construction of roads and drains in the city. Out of that, a budget of Rs 80 crore has been approved and the remaining Rs 80 crore is expected to be received soon.
Development work will gain momentum. After the budget is released, maintenance of Kathuta and Bharwara lake will also be done.
There are seven big drains for water drainage in the city, for the repair and cleaning of which Rs 50 crore has been sanctioned from the infrastructure fund.
How much money to whom?
Rs 28 crore has been received from the infrastructure fund for road and drain repairs. This will also include traffic improvement work at main intersections. A budget of Rs 25 crore has been approved to solve the problem of street lights in the city.
Assistance with maintenance work
With this, street lights will be installed in the extended area as well as maintenance and other works will be done.
Rs 10.12 crore has been received for cleaning Kathuta and Bharwara lake. According to GM Jalkal Kuldeep Singh, the additional budget will help a lot in the maintenance work of both the lakes.
