MP News: Tenders have been done for the construction of Greenfield Expressway from Agra in Uttar Pradesh to Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh.

A super structure in the form of a cable-stayed bridge is going to be built on this expressway coming to Madhya Pradesh through Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.

This cable-stayed bridge will be built on the Chambal river between Rajasthan and MP. This will be Madhya Pradesh's first six-lane cable-stayed bridge connecting three states. This cable-stayed bridge will be 600 meters long, which will be located through cables on two huge pillars.

Changing the format of the first proposed bridge on the 88.40 km long green field expressway, the Union Transport Ministry has decided to build a cable-stayed bridge between Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. This bridge will be built in the National Chambal Sanctuary area.

NHAI's Technical Manager Prashant Meena said that the NOC for its construction has been received from the Union Ministry of Forest and Environment and the Wildlife Advisory Board and the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways three days ago. The construction of the bridge and expressway can start in November.

The 3 km long highway will remain in the sanctuary area

The expressway will pass through the sanctuary for one km and then through the eco-sensitive zone for 2 km. In Rajasthan too, NOC has been received for the highway in 1 km of sanctuary boundary and about 9 km of protected boundary.

In Shanishchara area of Morena in MP too, the highway will pass through the forest area for about 1.5 km. NOC has been received from the state government for this too. In return, Rs 1.5 crore has also been given to the government.

Decorative lighting will not be installed on the bridge

The proposed bridge on the Chambal river will look exactly like the Naini cable-stayed bridge in Prayagraj. Although the bridge in Prayagraj has lighting decorations which make it look dazzling at night, but since Morena is in a sanctuary, the proposed bridge will not have electrical decorations like the Naini bridge.
