Unified Pension Scheme 2025- A great news has come out for the employees doing government jobs. The government has announced that the new 'Unified Pension Scheme' will be implemented from August 1, 2025. Under this scheme, provision has been made to give pension up to 50% of their last salary to the government employees. This scheme has been prepared by combining both the old and new pension systems, which will provide financial support to millions of employees in old age.

Unified Pension Scheme 2025- In the notification issued by the government on January 24, it has been told that under the Unified Pension Scheme, a fixed amount will be given as pension every month to the retired employees. This scheme is especially beneficial for those employees who have completed 10 years or more of service. Now they will not have to worry about financial insecurity.
25 years of job? So you will get 50% pension
The biggest thing about this scheme is that employees who have served for 25 years or more will get 50% of the average salary of the last 12 months of retirement as pension. That is, if the average salary of an employee in the last year was ₹ 60,000, then he will be given a pension of ₹ 30,000 every month. This is a matter of relief for those who have served for a long time with full loyalty.
Those who have served for 10 to 25 years will also benefit
Government employees who have worked for 10 to 24 years will not get the full 50% pension, but will get pension on a pro-rata basis. This means that the pension will be decided according to the number of years worked. Apart from this, those who have worked for more than 10 years will also get a minimum pension of ₹ 2000 per month.
Family will also get support
If a pensioner dies, the government has also decided that 60% of the pension will be given to his family as family pension. This will continue to provide financial support to his family even after the pensioner.
Who will not get the benefit of this scheme?
The government has made it clear that this scheme is only for retired employees. That is, employees who have been dismissed from service or removed under disciplinary action will not be given the benefit of this scheme.
What will change with this scheme?
With the implementation of this unified scheme, the government has taken a big step towards making the pension system simple, transparent and reliable. Now employees in both the new and old pension systems will get the same facility on the same platform. This will also balance the burden of the government and the employee will also get better benefits.
Why is this scheme special?
- Pension up to 50% of the last salary
- Minimum pension of ₹2000 guaranteed
- Family will get 60% pension
- Those with 10 years of service will also be eligible
- Transparent and integrated process
Retirement planning is now easy
For those working in government jobs, the direction of thinking about life after retirement will change. This new scheme will give assurance that a fixed income will continue even after the job. The special thing is that the documents and claim process related to this scheme will also be made completely online soon.
