Uttar Pradesh News: Farmers in UP are happy, maize will be purchased directly from farmers at MSP
UP News: The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has started the purchase of maize in the Rabi season for the first time under the marketing year 2024–25 at the Minimum Support Price (MSP). This historic step has come into effect from June 15, 2025, which will directly benefit thousands of maize producing farmers of the state.

Uttar Pradesh News: For the first time in UP, the purchase of maize has started directly from farmers at MSP. Maize is being purchased from farmers at Rs 2225 per quintal.
Procurement has started from June 15. Procurement will continue till July 31. The Yogi government has purchased maize directly from farmers at the minimum support price (MSP) in Rabi crop.

Goods will be purchased at the purchase centers from 9 am to 6 pm. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recently reached Auraiya and inquired about maize cultivation from maize farmers and assured them that the government will regularly pave the way for their development and prosperity.
Purchase maize in these districts
Badaun, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Etah, Kasganj, Firozabad, Hathras, Mainpuri, Hardoi, Unnao, Kanpur, Auraiya, Kannauj, Etawah, Farrukhabad, Bahraich, Ballia, Gonda, Sambhal, Rampur, Ayodhya and Mirzapur
It is mandatory for farmers to register on fcs.up.gov.in or UP KISAN MITRA mobile app to sell their maize.
Maize will be purchased only from registered farmers. This will also provide MSP.
Use the mobile number used to fill OTP to complete the farmer registration process.
Farmer's bank account should be linked with Aadhaar. Bank should do the mapping and activation on NPCI (National Payments Corporation of India) portal
Arrangement to make payment of maize directly into the Aadhar linked bank account of farmers through PFMS (Public Finance Management System)
