The IMD has issued a 'red alert' for heavy rain in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand (Nainital, Champawat and Udham Singh Nagar). Heavy rain is expected in Jammu and Kashmir from July 21 to July 23. Himachal Pradesh is likely to receive rain from July 21 to July 27. Till July 23, the Indian Meteorological Department has warned of heavy to very heavy rain in Himachal Pradesh.
Extremely heavy rainfall in Goa and coastal areas of Madhya Maharashtra
The IMD has issued a warning of extremely heavy rainfall in coastal areas of Goa and Madhya Maharashtra from July 21 to 27. Gradually, heavy rains may occur during this period.
Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has warned of heavy to very heavy rainfall in parts of Karnataka, including Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada districts in the next 24 hours.
According to IMD data on Sunday, Hangalur in Udupi district received the highest rainfall of 92 mm, while Gadag district received 77.1 mm of rainfall, which is the third highest rainfall so far in July.
