Weather Update: Heat in Delhi-NCR, light rain in UP, monsoon will intensify in Bihar, heavy rain alert in Himachal-Uttarakhand

Delhi-NCR Today's Weather: The weather in Delhi NCR is now slowly changing. The weather in Delhi NCR has become pleasant due to the intermittent rains, which has given relief to the people from the humid heat. The Meteorological Department has predicted that the series of heavy monsoon rains will begin in Delhi NCR. The spell of light to moderate rains in Delhi NCR is going to continue for the whole week. 

Incessant rain

In the past few days, continuous rain in the national capital Delhi made the weather pleasant. However, Delhi is once again experiencing heavy heat. 

After light to moderate rain in Delhi, Ghaziabad and Noida, a forecast has been issued that there is a possibility of heavy rain in the national capital Delhi this week. 

In fact, the Meteorological Department said that there will be light to moderate rain in Delhi this week. Rain activities have also increased in UP and Bihar.

Rain alert in some districts

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said that there is a possibility of heavy rain in Delhi-NCR today. The Meteorological Department has also said that light to moderate rain will continue in the national capital throughout the week. Light rain may occur in many districts of Uttar Pradesh today. 

Heavy rain with thunder and lightning may also occur in some areas. Monsoon has also gained momentum in Bihar after a brief respite. On Sunday, many areas of the state received good rain, bringing relief from scorching heat and humidity. Even today, rain alert is in force in some districts.

'Red alert' issued for heavy rain

The IMD has issued a 'red alert' for heavy rain in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand (Nainital, Champawat and Udham Singh Nagar). Heavy rain is expected in Jammu and Kashmir from July 21 to July 23. Himachal Pradesh is likely to receive rain from July 21 to July 27. Till July 23, the Indian Meteorological Department has warned of heavy to very heavy rain in Himachal Pradesh.

Extremely heavy rainfall in Goa and coastal areas of Madhya Maharashtra

The IMD has issued a warning of extremely heavy rainfall in coastal areas of Goa and Madhya Maharashtra from July 21 to 27. Gradually, heavy rains may occur during this period. 

Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has warned of heavy to very heavy rainfall in parts of Karnataka, including Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada districts in the next 24 hours. 

According to IMD data on Sunday, Hangalur in Udupi district received the highest rainfall of 92 mm, while Gadag district received 77.1 mm of rainfall, which is the third highest rainfall so far in July.
